Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, sponsors, community partners and film lovers for making the 2015 AGH BMO World Film Festival a fantastic success We hosted over 200 guests at the AGH for the Trailers and Teasers Launch Event and sold out our Opening Night screening of Mr. Holmes. Top selling films include Amy, Grandma and Painted Land: In Search of the Group of Seven. Other special features included interactive panel discussions for, Amy, Bikes vs. Cars, The Worlfpack, Infinitely Polar Bear, Love and Mercy and Beltracchi: The Art of Forgery. The AGH BMO World Film Festival showcased 35 award winning narrative and documentary feature films in 10 languages from 18 counties.

We are very grateful to all of YOU - sponsors, partners, film lovers and Volunteers who helped make the 2014 AGH BMO World Film Festival such a success. Trailers and Teasers was sold out for the second consecutive year, top selling films were The Trip to Italy, Alive Inside and Boyhood. Other highlights included lively panel discussions for Timís Vermeer, Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story and Alive Inside. Overall more than 7,300 people attended the 30 films screened at 4 different venues throughout the greater Hamilton region during the Festival.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all the enthusiastic film lovers, our wonderful sponsors and partners, and our dedicated Volunteers who made the 2013 5th Annual AGH BMO World Film Festival our largest yet. More than 7,000 people attended the 38 films screened at 8 different venues throughout the greater Hamilton region during the Festival. The top five most attended films were: The Sapphires, Renior, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Muscle Shoals and Eames: The Architect and The Painter.

Thanks to the support of our wonderful sponsors, partners, dedicated Volunteers and enthusiastic film lovers, the 4th annual AGH World Film Festival was the most successful yet! Approximately 7,500 film lovers attended in 2012 and ticket sales increased 60% over the previous year.

It was an intense ten days of great films and events... so a BIG THANK YOU to all our wonderful partners, dedicated volunteers and enthusiastic Festival-goers! A special thank you to our sponsors, who supported us as we grew this Festival in its third year.

The AGH CIBC Wood Gundy World Film Festival showcased the best in innovative international and Canadian cinema. The Festival provides the movie-loving public in Hamilton (and beyond) access to some of the most critically acclaimed films, filmmakers and emerging talent.

The 2010 AGH World Film Festival
In 2010, we expanded the AGH World Film Festival, growing to ten days and over 37 feature films, and increasing the number of screening venues throughout the city of Hamilton, including locations in downtown Hamilton (Empire Jackson Square 6 Cinemas and the Art Gallery of Hamilton), west Hamilton (Westdale Theatre), Ancaster (Ancaster SilverCity), Hamilton Mountain (Mohawk College, Fennell Campus), and Stoney Creek (Mohawk College, STARRT Institute).

The 2010 AGH World Film Festival also included two gala screenings (on Friday, September 24th and Friday, October 1st), a VIBE Lounge (a licensed, drop-in cafť and lounge at the Gallery for festival-goers to meet before or after screenings for conversation, refreshments, and live music, and street-level performances in celebration of the Festival.

Art Gallery of Hamilton Festitalia International Film Festival 2009
In Fall 2009, the Art Gallery of Hamilton launched its first international film festival, filling five days with 3 screening venues, 33 films (including 13 features, 6 animated shorts, and 14 short-format films, 18 performances (including two festival parties), and attracted more than 2,500 ticket-holders.

At the 12th annual Tourism Hamilton Tourism Awards of Excellence held at Hamiltonís Liuna Station in the spring of 2010, the Art Gallery of Hamilton was recognized for its outstanding contribution to the cityís tourism industry.
